Cama Beach Foundation is a nonprofit, volunteer organization created to support and develop educational programs and activities for visitors to Camano Island Washington's  two State Parks: Camano Island State Park and Cama Beach State Park.

The Foundation  raises funds through its retail shop located at Cama Beach State Park, accepts donations from the public and applies for grants to further its educational goals within these parks.    Currently a gift shop run by the foundation is open in the 'Historical Store' at Cama Beach, where one can go in and see the memorabilia from the original resort store era,  obtain information about park events and neighboring island happenings, and find many old fashioned toys, gifts, local artists wares, Parks items with the park logos, ice creams and sundries, and a snack or two to make the visit memorable.

The store opens the first week of April each year  for spring break visitors and then on Saturdays each week until mid June, when it opens daily for the remainder of the summer.  Hours during the summer are 10-4 pm.  After Labor Day the hours go back to Saturdays and then closes at the end of October.

Foundation membership is open to all who would like to be a part of the  Camano Island Foundation, whether by volunteering to help at the store, by fundraising, by donation to support our goals or by becoming a part of the educational team  to develop and teach programs.  See the Membership page to learn more.  If you wish to contact us, please use our Membership page information.

Our first year was culminated by receiving the 2010 Washington State Park's Outstanding Group of the Year Award.  We are excited to have received this honor as a partner with State Parks.  Come and visit our historical store when you visit the island's two State Parks. There is more information for Cama Beach and  Camano Island  Parks at these links for reservations and facilities.

Come visit us and experience a simpler style of vacationing in the Northwest. Our website is  growing: you are encouraged to look  again as we expand and provide educational events.  Our Foundation was approved by the Washington Parks to operate (Jan. 14, 2010).  We are a nonprofit in the State of Washington and have been approved as a Federal 501(c)(3) charitable, educational nonprofit corporation.  Your donations are gratefully received and will be acknowledged for IRS tax purposes.  The Foundation EIN is 80-0534116.

We are not supported by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, which manages and operates Camano Island and Cama Beach State Parks.  This website does not represent the official views of the Parks Commission.  If you have questions, please contact us.  There is information on the Membership page on how to reach us.
